Biography

Peter Revson, born on February 27, 1939, in New York City, USA, was an American Formula One driver and sports car racer, and a member of the family behind the Revlon cosmetics empire. Choosing to forge his own path outside the family business, Revson became a celebrated figure in motorsport. He competed in 30 Formula One races, securing two Grand Prix victories and several podium finishes. He also excelled in endurance racing, earning a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965 and competing in the Indianapolis 500.

Tragically, his promising career was cut short on March 22, 1974, when he died in a testing accident at the Kyalami Circuit in South Africa. Revson is remembered as a talented and determined racer who made a name for himself beyond his family's legacy.
