William Jeffrey Hostetler (born April 22, 1961) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback. He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and the West Virginia Mountaineers and was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL draft. He played in the NFL for the New York Giants, Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, and Washington Redskins. He won Super Bowl XXV with the Giants after taking over midseason for an injured Phil Simms. His nickname is "Hoss."
