Biography

CJ Higgins is a Philadelphia-local theatre artist specializing in devising, new work, music, directing, and production. They have performed with companies including Theatre Horizon, The Hum'n'bards Theater Troupe, Delaware Shakespeare, Jaffe St. Queer Productions, Tiny Dynamite, Revolution Shakespeare, Limelight PAC, Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion, and more. They are the Director of Production & Communications for The Hum’n’bards Theater Troupe, through which they have also performed and directed multiple devised productions.

CJ graduated magna cum laude from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, concentration in Musical Theatre, and was a member and president of the Rho Nu chapter of Alpha Psi Omega. They are currently the Director of Programming and Operations for Theatre Philadelphia, and a member of Ring of Keys.

When not working in theatre, CJ writes original music and hosts a queer interview podcast called My Gay Agenda: An Investigative Podcast. They also have a notable presence on TikTok with over one hundred thousand followers and a collaboration with the It Gets Better Project.
