Biography

Vini Pitanga holds a degree in Phonographic Production from Estácio de Sá University and Cultural Production from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). He also studied Sound for Cinema and TV at the International Academy of Cinema (AIC) and holds a ProTools 210p certification from Proclass Training.

Currently, he is pursuing a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Audiovisual Production at ESPM and a bachelor's degree in Media Studies at UFF, where he is a PIBIC scholarship holder conducting research on Music in Lusophone Countries.

With extensive experience in the music and audiovisual industries, Vini has worked as a composer, multi-instrumentalist drummer, music producer, mixing engineer, roadie, boom operator, and production sound mixer. In 2020, he was awarded in the Sound Design category at the Brazilian International Monthly Film Festival (BIMIFF) for the short film “Saturday Is Not a Day to Leave”. Some of the titles he has contributed to include "The Bottom of Our Hearts", "ReCaptcha", "Hat Night", "14-Hour Journeys", and "Punch by Punch".

Musical production projects led by Vini have accumulated over 1 million streams on digital platforms, including works with Sávio, Mototáxi, Klitoria, Drapula, Açúcar Mascavo, Gabriel Fernandes, Mulheres que Correm com os Loucos, Dia de Greve, Última Gangue, and his trio Duane, Braga & Vini.

In 2025, Vini plans to release his book “Practical Guide: From the Home Studio Onwards”, offering a technical and artistic perspective to young music producers, aiming to demystify the music production process.
