Biography

Patrick Michael Valley is a New York City based actor, singer, performer, and storyteller that has stared in musicals such as "Man of La Mancha" (Sancho), and The Pubic Theater's Production of "The Oddysey" at the Delacorte Theater, playing opposite actors Brandon Victor Dixon and Karen Olivo. He also stars in the award-winning short film "Destiny" by J. Anthony Roman and the horror feature film "Itch!" directed by Bari Kang and premiering on December 7th, 2024 at the Dances With Films Film Festival.

Trained in "The Method", Patrick studied at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York under Hope Arthur, Irma Sandrey, Maruicio Bustamante, Lorca Peress, Ted Zurkowski, and Paul Calderon. He has also trained with Labyrinth Theater Company in their Intensive Ensemble Workshop (taught/mentored by Russel G. Jones, Felix Solis, David Zayas, Portia, David Anzuelo, and Gary Perez) and with the Hispanic Organization of Latino Actors (taught by Tony Plana and Charles Carrol).

Patrick also recently starred in two theatre projects dealing with mental health. The dark dramedy "Ellie, Mom, and Me" written and directed by Alberto Vazquez, was featured in the New York Theater Festival. Patrick starred as Alphonso, the eldest brother in a Puerto Rican family, struggling to keep the family and his marriage together while dealing with a sibling afflicted by schizophrenia. The play "Dad?" was written by Shawn Belpanno and directed by Vincent Scott, at The American Theater of Actors. Patrick starred as Vinnie, a suicidal bipolar man who is guided by the ghost of his late father to resolve the trauma of his youth.

Hailing originally from Mexico City, Patrick is natively fluent in both American English, and Mexican Spanish, and is very proficient in Brazilian Portuguese as well. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, allowing him to easily jump into terminology-heavy procedurals. Patrick also studied the Brazilian art of Capoeira and Judo for many years. Additional special skills and hobbies include playing the piano (intermediate classical), swimming/diving, dancing (salsa/merengue), and ice skating.
