Biography

Diarmuid “Derm” Donohoe is a director and writer who grew up in Dublin, a child of the ‘90s. His obsession with cinema began with the arrival of the film La Haine and a re-release of Akira to Irish cinemas in ‘95. Diarmuid went on to study animation in Ballyfermot and though he has been working in the animation industry for many years, live action filmmaking has always been his true passion. He has directed over fifty episodes of animation for clients such as Apple, Disney and Netflix. In recent years Diarmuid has directed three live action short films, funded by both RTE and Screen Ireland, which have been selected for many prestigious festivals around the world.
