Biography

Greg Marshall is an artist from Calgary, Alberta, Canada that primarily works with video. His recent art video work has been shown at numerous experimental festivals and art exhibitions in Scotland, Wales, USA, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Turkey, Brazil, Australia, as well as within Alberta and Canada. “bearing” was also selected for the biennial New Technology Art Award Exhibition in Ghent, Belgium in November, 2019. His most recent work, “Between the Blur” is slated for screening at Simultan – Romania, Supernova Denver, and San Francisco later this year, and has been selected into the The Juan Downey Award exhibition in Santiago, Chile by the Chilean Corporation of Video and Electronic Arts (CChV) for October, 2022.

Often through a meditative process his work tends to examine the effects of technology and dislocation in its various forms including military manifestations, periodically citing public databases in the process.

In 1994 he graduated from the Alberta University for the Arts and is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Calgary in the Department of Art and Art History 2022.
