Has newly announced that her breast cancer has returned and is stage 4

Shannen was on ABC's GMA today to announce, heartbreakingly, that her breast cancer, that had been in remission, that round one of occurred in 2015, has returned - and that it's now stage 4.

Shannen, who's 48, says that the cancer returned a year ago, and that she's remained mum about it all this time, but that she realizes it's time to disclose it publicly as the predicament will be mentioned in court documents that are set to be publicly released within the coming week or so; she wants people to hear her news and her story directly from her, rather than via those documents.

My mother had breast cancer, had a half mastectomy and survived another 20 years of it. Good wishes to Shannon and others.

Very sorry to hear about your mother's dire experiences, as well as Shannen's and everyone else facing similar prognostication with such a major ailment as this.

Sadly, her condition has deteriorated - the cancer appears to have spread to her brain.
