A rare bit of Disney work for him I believe was this film. It seems very much as if Ryder was only a replacement for big and emotionally troubled Disney actor and Secret Agent star Patrick McGoohan ( Three lives of Thomasina). I think McGoohan was likely offered the part in this film but thought it was too small. Ryder, though shorter and many years older, was a strong looklike for McGoohan.
