The death of legendary French actress Jeanne Moreau has been announced... sad news, she was one of the true iconic stars of the 1960s.
In the past couple of months I have enjoyed her in Jules et Jim, La Notte and The Train - three extremely diverse films and roles. A versatile actress indeed. RIP.

Absolutely... a unique, singular actress with a face (and voice) for the ages. Orson Welles, who directed her in 'The Trial', apparently considered her the greatest actress in the world. She will live on in a wide range of great films and as one of the personalities who defined an era.

I can't think of a thing to add to this thread, so I'll just write... R.I.P. Jeanne.

It was in the movie "Viva Maria!", starring alongside Brigitte Bardot, when I first noticed her. I thought then: "C'est incroyable. Une autre actrice séduisant de France. Elle est très sexy comme Brigitte, mais pas trop pour être prise au sérieux. Ici elle est une belle femme , intelligente est forte."
R.I.P.
