The album is dated for sure. It has aged the worst among her 80s catalog along with Who's that Girl soundtrack. I actually think White Heat is the best song on the album which is not a single. A lot of people like Where's the Party. But yeah True Blue has a very dated 80s sound. Songwriting point of view it is a lot stronger than Like A Virgin which I am not a fan of but the sound on that album has aged better in my opinion.
