Probably but I also don't understand why people assumed he would dominate.

Grammys are predictable when it comes to winners but let's not kid ourselves here, when it comes to nominations, they are often a major shocker.

Yeah but it's that enough to guarantee a Grammy nom? I never cared for the song, I didn't even think it was catchy.

I am more shocked how they snubbed Brittany Howard and Fiona Apple in the album of the year field, especially Howard as they could have actually made a statement there. I hope they will give Rock music a bit more airtime this time around as there are all females competing.

I think artist really should start ignoring the Grammys. Back in the 90s, many big acts didn't give a shiz until they actually got nominated and showed up but aside from that they never seem to be bothered by them but nowadays everything and everybody needs validation to the point it is unhealthy.

And then they go and nominate Yummy... wtf

Brandy & Jojo, both snubbed which is unbelievable.

Both released amazing work this year.

How on earth did Gaga get a nomination? She literally paid her era DUST!

The Grammy's haven't been relevant for 20 years or so!

Beyoncé is a bit problematic but she's more a fully realized artist than The Weeknd is. His music isn't that good, he's a mediocre performer and his singing is a 2nd rate MJ.

The Weeknd is way more overrated than Beyoncé although her nominations this year are undeserving to say the least.

You guys can't nitpick when the Grammys are fair and square if Adele and Swift win AOTY twice and claim they are bought and fraudulent when Beyoncé wins or is nominated (she has never won any of the big four for example).

Just accept the fact that the Grammys simply LOVE Beyoncé and will always nominate her instead of this cry-baby attitude.

Well a lot of people think both Adele and Swift didn't deserve their 2nd wins so there's that but both of their AOTY wins were for HUGE eras, huge singles, albums, critical acclaim, sales etc. so it seemed to make more sense than for Beyoncé to be the most nominated artist in 2020 as she didn't release an actual album.
