Woah. This is HUGE for such a new artist. Can’t wait to hear how she’ll interpret this. Her tone is sultry enough to pull it off. Coming for an Oscar 👏🏽

WWAFA,WDWG? also becomes the 5th longest charting Top 10 female album this century, with 40 weeks in the Top 10. What a great way to start off the new decade.

Good for her. I'm personally not fond of bond themes. I think the ones I like is Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only.

Bond themes are still a thing?

You don't like Skyfall and The World is Not Enough?

Not really. They sounded like something that one would think a Bond song would sound like but not much else.

Lana Del Ray would be a better choice

I guess the Bond producers didn’t like any of the songs she submitted

Lana Del Rey is definitely an obvious choice, her song “24” already sounds like a Bond theme.

Yeah but that would be so typical wouldn't it? They would want to think a bit outside the box.

When was the last time a Bond Theme was iconic? Skyfall benefited of being an Adele song - if she had not sung it, I doubt it would have done as well as it did. I think the last time, a Bond theme was actually somewhat memorable and iconic was Licence to Kill, 31 years ago.

Bond themes are less about being individual songs and more about being songs used to sell the Bond brand and image. Most serve as musical commercials and the product is Bond.

I believe that BE whatever her merits as a performer was chosen to attract millennials who I doubt care all that much about Bond anyways. Then older Bond fans don't know or care about her .

What matters is that it is Daniel Craig's last outing as Bond.

Which is a sh-tty move, Billie lacks any appeal with older people(who pretty much carry this franchise's box office sucess) so it doesn't make much sense.

Eh I think Billie has a wider demographic than just teenagers. She wouldn’t be selling so well in pure if she lacked appeal with older audiences. 700k in pure and teens don’t buy music. I’m curious how it’ll sound though because I don’t think her sound will fit the movie unless it’s something we’ve never heard from her.

Well the song will go along with the opening credits which are always a highlight of any Bond film.

Disappointed

It's less about Billie not appealing to a older audience, and more about Bond becoming a dated concept.
