This is the first album of hers where it doesn’t even sound like it’s her record. Total lack of individuality with the Carly Rae rip offs and zero cohesion. She’s really losing her touch :/

Exactly my thoughts. Say what you want about Reputation, but it still feels like a Taylor album. DEAD at her trying to take Carly’s sound and doing a quarter of the quality
If I was in highschool and boy crazy this would be my jam. I mean for a fluffy pop album about love, it does what it’s supposed to.
But it is a little too bland and forgettable. The Man, I Think He Knows, and Miss Americana are pretty catchy, though.
It really does sound like a bunch of Carly Rae Jepsen demos, except Carly actually put out an EP of b-sides and it was one of the best releases that year. The album is cute but it’s a weak effort overall.
I don't think it sounds much like Carly Rae Jepsen at all aside from Jack Antonoff aesthetic even though he is one of the few mainstream producers that really does things differently depending on the singer.

Just listened. Couldn’t find one single highlight. What happened to her songwriting?
Edit: maybe False God slapped

Good for her, but damn, such a boring album.
Don’t like it when she’s happy lmao

Half the album is amazing and the other one is so bubblegum pop. She needs to lay off the high school-ish lyrics.
