Whitney's team are really desperate huh. Yeah, they got some outtake from a studio session years ago of an already existing hit song and decide to make it a single. Just sad.

Whitney would have not approved

It’s not going to stop any time soon. A tour & new album is on its way. God forbid something happens to Britney i can see her team doing the same but WORST.

I will say this Whitney song is good thank god.

I actually like the Whitney song. Her version of Higher Love was released on the Japanese version of I'm Your Baby Tonight. The new mix is good.

I'm not here for hologram tours, though. Whitney doesn't deserve that and you know she would have shaded the hell out of that. Pat Houston is an absolute leech among all those other Houston leeches.

Whitney is in the top 10 on iTunes with her track. While Celine isn’t in the top 40. Thought she would do better.

I was so excited to hear a new Whitney single had come out and even though it's a cover of one of my favorite songs, I'm happy to see her experience some success again. Hope it becomes a hit.

But why release something that was essentially a b-side semi demo. It's just a lame cash-in. Same happened with Amy Winehouse and the updated version of Will you still love me tomorrow.

Well, I guess many people haven't heard her version of Higher Love. I actually think the new production is better than Whitney's original version. It has a nice summer sound, and the vocals are from when Whitney's voice was at its best. So, I do think this was a good idea.

I guess there’s nothing Whitney’s camp won’t exploit. The desperation!

I agree! Since the song is actually good and amazing why not? If anything this reminds the world of Whitney’s amazing beautiful voice. Keep her legacy alive in a good way unlike what they did to Michael.

Whitney really didn’t record much more than her actual albums. This is just the “estate” scrambling for coins.

They can just leave her legacy in fucking peace, but instead are deleting her iconic performances from YouTube to release on dvds nobody wants to fucking buy.

You have to admit this version of her song is good. Desperate yes but at least they made a good dance track. Didn’t Michael release new music this year?

Yes. And Whitney’s song is at number 3 on iTunes since release. It's doing well with green updates!

People need to understand that remakes, reboots, remixes and re-releases are CRUCIAL to someone's legacy. Without that there'll be a bunch of people not knowing anything about an artist in 20 years, so these type of releases extend the relevancy of the legendary status of an artist that no longer releases.

I love the fact that Whitney is doing this well on iTunes and hope she'll do well in streaming too because of Kygo. It'll bring even more attention to her discography etc. We don't need the older demo to remember her, we need EVERY demo to keep being reminded of brilliant voices like her.

The reason why the Beatles are remembered is because their work is constantly re-worked, referenced, re-released. Queen's legacy sure as hell got a huge spike of interest following Bohemian Rhapsody and now a lot of people that weren't around or cared for them have come to love them.

The same damn thing is needed in movies as well. I would love some of my fave movies to be remade or re-released because their popularity is getting significantly smaller with every decade.

You and I know both that there are a bunch of stuff we wouldn't know about today if it wasn't for some re-release/sample/cover/reboot.

So glad to hear from Whitney again, feels like i haven’t heard from her in years. 😌
