As rabid as they are, it’s nice to have a strong stanbase for a black woman. People are so god damn racist they’ll look for any excuse to discredit her, so it’s sort of good they’re keeping people in line.

And Bey knows exactly what she’s doing by never publicly speaking out. She’ll never be the person she tries to portray. Rihanna’s impact had Bey wanting to be a baddie all of a sudden, but she can’t even call out her own fans.

I feel her never speaking or doing interviews is calculated on her part in order to add more mystique to the Queen figure she’s created since ST but there comes a point where it’s time to speak out and shut them up already. This reflects poorly on her.

That doesn't mean she shouldn't check them when they are harassing a woman and telling her to kill herself when she was doing nothing wrong and being was being a gracious host.

You say it's good that the hive are keeping people in line but on the flip side of the coin who is keeping THEM in line?

That’s not specifically a Beyoncé problem though. Britney’s stanbase is notoriously full of racist white twinks, and Gaga’s stans were horribly abusive towards Xtina. We don’t see either of them speak out about it.

I think we should make it less about the artist, and more about the horrible individuals. Let’s stop excusing their behaviour, and accept them as awful people who need to take responsibly for their own behaviour.

But yeah, it would be nice if Bey called it out.

To be fair a lot of that is "Whatabouttism" which really doesn't contribute to the issue at hand...Nicole Curran shouldn't have to make this kind of statement nor should anybody because of the rabid vitriolic statements made by any fanbase.
