From what I understand, this new Music app is just for Mac users. So Windows users are just out of luck apparently. Guess Amazon will be getting a bunch of new customers.

It’s just weird how Apple is essentially killing its own brand. First with Apple Music and now with this. Digital sales began plummeting as soon as Apple Music came into play so they’ve been shooting themselves in the foot for years.

The funny thing is Steve Jobs always said he hated music subscription services so he would absolutely hate what Apple has become.

If I can’t use Apple Music on my computer I’ll just switch to Spotify.

Digital sales are still pretty relevant which is why they'll be making a whole new app for digital sales only.

I’m probably the only person left who still buys music. Recently got Miley’s after all the positive responses.

For some people, they can't buy music because it isn't available to purchase just stream.

Just don’t get the logic or point with this.

My guess is most people were going to streaming (not me), so to consolidate their software they're merging everything into their music app (for music files).

How is this consolidating? They're basically splitting one app (iTunes), into three separate apps (Music app, Tv/Movies app, Podcast app). I don't know how it is for Macs etc but for Windows, Apple Music has already been accessible right through iTunes so I don't see how this new Music app is really making anything better.
