Discuss Beyoncé

I’ve never been so bored at a music award show. Alicia Keys has the personality of a card board box. The performances were boring and uninspired. It’s sad that Lizzo actually was the best of the night.

I expect ratings to dip yet again.

Because it IS shady. Not over my end, on the Grammys end. How does this little debut girl get the same number of wins in one night in ALL major categories than Mariah? It’s wrong, period

How does Beyoncé win 6 grammys in one night, the same number as Whitney Houston's entire career. How does Adele win 6 grammys in one night, the same number as Whitney Houston's entire career and more than Janet's and Mariah's career. How does Michael Jackson win 8 grammys in one night, more than Prince's entire career.

How does Alicia Keys have more Grammys than Mariah and Whitney combined?

We could go on about this forever - Grammys have always been a joke but Billie is not the only one who has won multiple grammys in one night if you are just going to single her out and I don't get how she's a little debut girl?

Because I’m specifically talking about Sunday nights Grammys?? I thought that was obvious

I already mentioned the Grammys has a strange way of selecting their winners. Did you miss that part, or just conveniently left that out? No one was singling out Billie, but the subject was SUNDAYS Grammy awards.

If you don’t understand why I called her debut girl then not sure what to tell you. I can’t walk and talk you through everything sis, it was quite obvious what I meant.

ana absolutely deserved it. Wasn’t her album the most critically acclaimed female album of the decade?

If we are going by Metacritic, then No. The most critically acclaimed female album of the decade is Room 25 by Noname, followed by Lemonade by Beyoncé and Lorde's Melodrama.

Yeah but you mentioned that she won more Grammys in one night than Mariah's entire career but that's not the first time an act has done so. Is it fair, perhaps not but it's not something out of the ordinary for the Grammys. Billie's situation is based on luck for the most part. She had the biggest album of the year. She also got critical acclaim (something people seem to ignore), had the 2nd biggest song of the year, was eligible for best new artist. It was basically a semi Adele situation (with less sales) except Billie was new and therefore eligible for best new artist. They have always been weird ever since they began.

Solange's last two albums got higher scores too.

Lana's album wasn't even the most critically acclaimed female album of 2019. Weyes Blood's Titanic rising, Lil Sims Grey Area. Jamila Woods Legacy Legacy, Angel Olsen's All Mirrors and Solange's When I get home all are rated above it.

At least this will silence the "tHeRe'S nO gOoD mUsIc" crowd.
