Have y’all checked Me!’s global stats? My god. This era is really off to a bad start. It really came and went, nobody’s even talking about her. Maybe the second single can give some new life to this era :/

It’s what she deserves tbh.

Has the era begun properly? I mean there's this song but the album isn't even out yet.

It’s too early to tell how this era will do but it’s safe to say she’s not crossing the 1 million mark in her first week this time.

Not entirely but when LWYMMD was released it was a moment in pop culture, thanks mostly to the video. And despite it being a meh song it was a good start to the era. It fizzled after Ready For It but the hype was there before. This era not so much. The Me! release was super messy.

She's actually BOMBING in major markets. This just proves she was only an international superstar during 1989 because the Reputation era also failed to be big overseas.

it's a horrible song but it went to #2 in the US and top 10 in most major markets.
some of you have a really warped idea of what a bomb is, it's an underperformance in terms of it's longevity but it doesn't deserve to do amazingly.

It's doing HORRIBLE and hasn't even entered the top 10 in markets like Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, Netherlands and Switzerland and even the countries where it did enter the top 10, it's dropping like a rock. It dropped 85 percent in the US and the only thing keeping her afloat is her radio deal. I wouldn't call it an underperformance, I would call it a flop.

I don't think I've ever seen a lead single from a major pop girl do THAT bad

i feel like perfect illusion did worse in many of the markets you just listed besides Germany.

The Joanne era is literally the ONLY Gaga era where Gaga hasn't been able to score a hit worldwide. TF, BTW, ARTPOP and ASIB have all scored big hits for her internationally, so nice try

Perfect Illusion went #1 in France though. ME! is outside of the Top 100 after a week. This is like Taylor's ARTPOP, so the more fair comparison would be Applause.

Gurl, do not compare Taylor to Gaga in terms of WW hits because you'll obviously lose. Call me when Taylor ever scores a WW hit like PF, BTW, BR or Shallow

well since we don't know how the album is going to do, it's not really fair to call it her "artpop"

Maybe not but it's a safe @ss pop song from a major pop girl and it's flopping practically everywhere. That's a fact. At least when Gaga flopped she did it with bad singles and not entirely pop friendly sounds. This is like a Max Martin song.
