You don't seem sure? "Hideaki" is, by far, the most popular spelling for the name (but it doesn't necessarily makes it right).

No, I'm not sure. Wikipedia shows that reading and cites an encyclopedia about the Yamato series. Sooo who knows... I do know of a similar case where actor Eimei Esumi was credited in English as Hideaki Esumi and other names although his name is not correctly read this way... As long as that reading is somewhere on the page I'm content. I ask because maybe someone else can find more definitive information.

I think this name can be read in both ways because I am looking at actor Eimei Esumi's page and he reads his stage name as "Eimei" but his birth name is read "Hideaki". So who the hell knows.
