I hate to tell you this, but I moved them back to this page. We always keep the profile with the lowest number.

If I transfer everything to the older entry, can the one I transfer from be deleted?

Yes, we always try to keep the original (lowest number, older entry). I only delete the older one if the newer one has lots of movies already added to it.
