Extra Details: The romanisation of this person's name used in both the U.S. press kit and the Australian distributor's page for is "Ryuji Akiyama", so, as there's no official Roman-character spelling given on their agency's page for them, I think "Ryuji Akiyama" should be the main display title.
Even if that were not evidence enough to use a non-standard romanisation, the current name, with a circumflex, is still wrong. Unlike IMDb, TMDb uses Unicode, so can store and display Hepburn romanisation correctly, using macrons. So if you're not using "Ryuji Akiyama", then you should be using the correct Hepburn romanisation, "Ryūji Akiyama".

I've since discovered some evidence for a non-standard Roman-character spelling, using resources I should have thought to look at before asking for the name to be corrected to the Hepburn romanisation, and changed my post to reflect that.
I didn't realise that the name had already been changed to Ryūji Akiyama, so even more apologies for my wavering.
