I've always been a huge fan of Lou Bega's very enjoyable version of "Mambo No. 5". It's completely infectious: You can't help but feel good anytime listening to it! It just so happens, also, to have a terrific music video. The interspersed vintage dance clips are the perfect extra touch!
In the video, I really like the featured main girl who's at and around the 57-seconds point and in several other parts. She looks so downright happy, and with so much personality!
Anyways, with this being a celebratory holiday week, I thought this song's video would be fun to post here.
Enjoy!

Here is the original by Dámaso Pérez Prado (only the music with some vintage photos):

There also was a copyright fight with Prados estate that lasted 7 years:

Here is an interview of Bega from July 2019 (20th anniversary) in Vanity Fair:

And thanks, that song will be in my head all day!

I like the sound of that instrumental original version of "Mambo No. 5", brat. I don't believe I'd ever heard it before you shared the link. I've always enjoyed '30s and '40s Big Band music, plus Latin dance rhythms.
Regarding Lou Bega, I hadn't realized how young he is (currently only 44), as I took him to be probably somewhere around 35-ish back when his version of "Mambo No. 5" came out - yet I now realize he was just 24 back then!

Here's another of my favourite dance songs of back then, Kaoma's "Lambada" (1989). I have fond memories of it abroad, as I was in the former Yugoslavia at the time it was out, had just arrived to my Dubrovnik hotel, turned on the t.v., selected MTV, and that song's video (which was a fave of mine from when home) was playing. I stood out on my suite's terrace and enjoyed soaking in the view of the Adriatic Sea while hearing that song play and sipping a drink.
Sadly, the hotel in question, The Belvedere (which my visit to was in late 1989), got destroyed via bombing during an extended seige by Serbian forces in 1991. Here's a video of the result. Here's another, that shows additional views.
