Discuss Tiger Woods

Tiger in trouble with the law:-
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/05/29/us/tiger-woods-arrested-dui/index.html

I wonder if this is all linked to his back problems, which have surely taken away any chance he had of passing Jack Nicklaus (not to be confused with Jack Nicolson!) at the head of the all time Major winners list...

I have no sympathy for DUI, especially when a wealthy celebrity -- who can certainly afford a chauffeur or even a lowly taxi -- is involved. There's no excuse for anyone capable of reading to drink and drive. The threat to others is obvious and well-documented. Nobody deserves leniency.

Throw the book at him hard enough to leave a mark.

I have no sympathy for this chump , has the best back surgeons in the world ...but my oweee back is still sore , cheated on his wife , now a drunk .... he should go back to banging pornstars ...his back seemed fine then 😂😂

Update to the story:-

In short though 0% alcohol found in his blood. So going back to my OP, perhaps this all was linked to his back problems but not in the purely psychology sense.

Wow, great American attitude! You know, Innocent until proven Guilty. I love how you Americans boast about Patriotism and then seem to forget the fucking basic American Freedoms. Fucking eh.....

Anyways, he has a beatable case. He wasn't drunk, but he was under the influence. However, since he was under the influence of legal drugs, he could argue ignorance or just being unaware of the side effects before he drove. He didn't crash the car, he didn't hurt anyone, and he didn't cause a disturbance or impede traffic. Maybe some of you guys might want to sit back, get off that high horse, and look at the evidence before jumping to a fucking hypocritical conclusion.

Savy?

That mug shot is the worse I've ever seen him.

I read he killed and mauled a Zoo Keeper in England as well. He sure has fallen on hard times

Except he wasn't drinking and driving.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your righteous indignation.

Well said.

One would think Americans themselves would be first to defend their own fellow citizens' rights as conferred upon them in their own Constitution.

Jack was 46 when he won his last major. Tiger could get healthy, play to that age, and need only win won per year for the next five years.

Is it likely? No.

But, his back problems have not "surely taken away any" chance.

This entire thread is likely part of why the General board went away. "People" - in the context of a movie database - is actors, directors, producers, composers, set crew...people who make movies/tv shows.

As far as I'd expect, athletes don't count simply by virtue of a loose application of the term "celebrity"; shame it has to be spelled out.

Mr. Woods is being discussed, DRDMovie. Deal with it or begone!

I'll take your advice and begone.

Jack won his last major six years after the preceding one and was itself very much celebrated as the outlier it was. Tiger will be 42 at the end of this year and is unlikely to even play again by then. Of course it's still a theoretical possibility but the historic precedents of golfers, who didn't have the rather extreme suffering Tiger is still going through to contend with, points to it being just that...

Ok, he won't pass Jack. Terrific. Thanks for pointing it out.
