I was only familiar with him from the Blade movies, and had no idea he'd been a successful country musician. He also pursued both boxing and rugby while studying at Oxford, and served in the Army from 1960-65. His choice of pursuing music alienated him from his family, but he kept pushing forward anyway, which I think is personally sad...but sometimes you just can't let stubborn people get in the way of your dreams.
