Discuss John Lewis

Rep. Lewis died last night at age 80, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a Georgia congressman, a Freedom Rider, a civil rights hero.

In a turn of coincidence, Reverend C.T. Vivian, who advised MLK Jr., died within 24 hours of Rep. Lewis, at age 95.

RIP.

gen, How do I change the 'known for' section on a page? On Mr. Lewis' page, it says he was 'known for' acting! He WAS NOT an actor.

Not quite ideally, all credits for any type on-camera appearance automatically categorize as "Known For Acting" on TMDb, as that's the sole on-camera category that exists. That includes any politician who has a credit for appearing on a talk show or in a documentary, or a presenter on an awards show, or a sports reporter or athlete at the Olympics, or a medical authority who's interviewed, etc., etc. There's no categories for "Politician", "Reporter", "Singer", "Athlete", "Doctor", "Dancer", etc. Everyone, with any "Cast" credit, automatically is classified as "Known For Acting". In Congressman Lewis' case, each of his credits do specify "Himself".

By the way, I checked all indicated credits for each of the several different individuals named John Lewis who have an actor or crew profile on TMDb and found that three mistakenly had one (each) Rep. John Lewis credit added to them - so I moved them to his profile.

Thanks gen. I guess this is another of what I call 'Travis' quirks'.

Yes, John Lewis really knew his purpose for representing his U.S. Congressional District, as well as the purpose of the entire House and Federal Government. His interview deliveries especially prove as much, as he shows excellent skills in his knowledge of Georgian and American history throughout his many painstaking decades in the thrust of achieving justice and honor.
