In a distant future, Tetsuro is a human boy who wants his body replaced with a robotic one. This is possible, but to do so he has to reach the Immortal Planet onboard the space train Galaxy Express 999. Maetel, a beautiful and mysterious blonde woman dressed in Russian style, joins him in the long journey through space. Every episode sees our heroes arriving in a new planet's space train station.

故事描述悟空一行人捲入某個陰謀事件，全員因此回歸小時候的身軀。為了解決這件事，及彌補自己嬌小的體型，所以悟空重拾過去的如意棒，在未知而神秘的世界中展開一場的盛大冒險。

以村落「雛見澤」做為故事舞台，描述少年前原圭一因故搬到了雛見澤，並在那認識了園崎魅音、龍宮怜奈等人，並且與同班好友們過著愉快的日常生活。但是當村莊到綿流祭時，一連串的離奇死亡事件就此發生......

故事主要講的是一對孿生兄弟上杉達也、上杉和也與青梅竹馬的隔壁鄰居淺倉南的感情和夢想。這種對青春、對勝利、對自己夢想勇敢追求和拼搏精神影響了一代年輕人。

"Tanpopo Farm," a facility overlooking the ocean, offers rehabilitation for troubled youth—those from reform schools, bullied individuals, and those dealing with addictions. Kitayama Shuji, who runs the farm, faces rejection from the town and even his daughter but remains committed to helping these young people heal.

The story unfolds as Sakuragi Tsubasa arrives at Tanpopo Farm and meets Sawaguchi Haruka, a popular high school basketball player.
