Discuss Alien: Romulus

After the disappointments of Prometheus and Covenant, we are finally served a decent Alien flick. So many tense moments and quite inventive writing. The shoe horned nod lines to the previous flicks was a bit cringey but overall a very fine film.

I very much enjoyed the "retro" feel of Alien: Romulus. If I hadn't watched it in the theater in 2024, I could've been fooled into thinking it was made in the 1980s; which bodes well for the story, considering it is supposed to fall between Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).

I agree, I enjoyed that myself. The film had me on the edge of my seat throughout very reminiscent of the first Alien film. Its when you see stuff like this that the craft of good directing shines through.
