I really don't trust IMDb for Japanese content. 攻殻機動隊 doesn't seem to be used on its own.
Anyone else has an opinion?

That's completely fine. It's possible it's wrong. My point is more on the language for the original title, which should definitely be Japanese. Japanese Wikipedia seems to report the same name however, as well as some blu-ray and DVD stores online.

It's really a matter of what was used as the credit title for the original Japanese theater release, but that's kind of hard to find.
Maybe @Marr will be able will be able to enlighten us.

I would go with the Japanese Wikipedia page and use: "GHOST IN THE SHELL / 攻殻機動隊"
At least until a more official source is found, it seems better than the current TMDb title of just "GHOST IN THE SHELL".

I'm quite sure this was already investigated, but maybe I'm wrong. The title used in the original Japanese version is the Caps Lock one. It's ugly, but correct.
