I just realized that this is part 2 coming out in 2025. I didn't notice when I first checked the cast list but now I know he was talking about John Cena.

Why not? Letty, Han and Giselle returned after they were presumed dead. By the way, did you notice the abundance of actors in "Fast X (2023)" who had played DC and Marvel superheroes? Cena as Peacemaker was shot, but in the post credit scene it is revealed that he is still alive. There is no such scene in "Fast X (2023)" , but perhaps it will be like with Han and it is revealed what happened in the next movie. Fans hope so, but if he doesn't return, he might in another sequel, if "Fast X: Part 2" isn't the end of the line for the franchise.
