there was a great thread on the imdb boards on the philosophy of the movie... milton's paradise lost, darwin, etc...
it was thought provoking and hilarious at the same time... what a great movie

Prometheus is the second-best Alien movie, behind only the original. Sure, it has many, significant flaws but at least it's ambitious and has some genuinely disturbing material, unlike the rest of the series.
