Tsavo,

Do you mean Conan?

Yes. It wasn't great or anything, but it was enjoyable, and more accurate to the character than the Schwarzenegger films were.

I added this after you responded.

I have always wondered why or how you chose the name you use here. Is it because of the lions of Tsavo?

Yes, actually, and I appreciate that you know about them!

"The Ghost and the Darkness" came out when I was a kid, and I became obsessed with the story, reading everything I could find. Then when I started using thernet for the first time, all the way back in '97, I chose Tsavo as my username. Stuck with it ever since, even after that damnable Halo 2, after which EVERYONE started using it.

Roo, cancel culture is indeed a real thing. Whether it applies here or not is another story, but when "the left," which includes the entirety of social media, big tech, and essentially the entirety of the media industry can suppress, censor, and outright slander people with impunity just for not sharing lefty sociopolitical views, I don't know what else you could call that.

People have lost their jobs, have been harassed and even assaulted just for being conservative Americans. A lot of people.

Remember Nick Sandmann? Remember the campaign to cancel him which included some very nasty slander which was all over twitter and the mainstream news media? The news media would not shut up about his "chilling smirk," and certain members of congress were spreading outright lies about him. Obviously, it backfired in a big way, but most are not that lucky.

Yeah, but once you spin it as a "left" thing, you lose credibility and devolve into partisan rhetoric. When Conservatives on "the right" burn Nike shoes and actually shoot up cases of beer with guns because those companies apparently don't "share righty socio-political views" it's no less "cancelling" as anything done otherwise.

Because Heard is a psychopath and a liar who tried to ruin a mans life because he wanted to break it off. Not to mention she shows no remorse for all the evil things shes done. I will be shocked if this brings in 600 million worldwide.

And if she loses her job and loses future casting roles, doesn't she deserve it? When bad things happen to people for doing bad things, a better word than "cancelling" is "consequences" or "accountability."

Shit people deserve to have shit things happen to them. Pretty simple IMO. Call it what you want.
