King Cobra was far more entertaining, but its portrayal of homosexuality was far too realistic for the Academy.

There are many great gay films that come out every year. Most don't get theatrical distribution.

touché. But if we limit ourselves to the non-porn genre, King Cobra was the best. Christian Slater is a frighteningly believable homosexual. Deserved a nomination for best Supporting Actor.
