Sure of all the 20+Bond films and themes only a handful are really great. I share your no comment needed comment. She is the latest indie darling but Bond ? Really? Not who exactly comes to mind. Honestly I think Bond should just be retired. Why not have a Bond rap now ? So many other acts make more sense to me than her.
I take it from previous comments that she's not well regarded. I hadn't actually heard any of her songs till about 5 minutes ago (I've been behind on modern music the last couple of years). But I gotta say, she's nowhere near as bad as Adele. Not even close.

She's actually really good, and people generally loved her when she was first starting out as she was different and edgy. However, once the general populous started to like her and she was playing on the radio constantly as well as appearing on every YouTube reaction video, some started to hate her even though she has never changed her style, mostly because of the anything mainstream must be trashed mentality of folks.

Aah, that old chestnut. That does explain it. I don't see what the big fuss is myself, from some of these reactions you'd think they'd have given us Justin Beiber.
She does seem pretty good. No, she wouldn't be my personal choice but we could have got a hell of a lot worse.

I refuse to believe that we will have a black female Bond inflicted on us. There's no way the producers are THAT self destructive.
