I agree that the beach looked perfect. Except of course for the huge Great White. I guess Carlos didn't think to mention it to Nancy and the two surfers never noticed the rotting whale carcass nearby. I thought that the effects were good especially the shadow of the shark hidden in the wave right before it attacked Nancy. I don't remember where the beach was supposed to be but I am guessing it was somewhere in Mexico.

LOL. The movie was filmed on location in Australia so obviously not Mexico. At least according to a source linked to I.M.D.B. I'm not sure Carlos ever said what the name of the beach actually was come to think of it.
