I really hope this film is good but I'm having quite strong reservations based on the trailers.

The first two are imo probably the best of the modern era blockbuster reboots / remakes of classic series, e.g. Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, Superman, etc, etc... but I'm really hoping there's going to be more to this than a straight up "action flick" featuring Woody Harrelson.

My only slight reservation is that the mute little girl is called Nova, Nova was also a character from the original films, the mute woman from the first two movies.

Maybe I shouldn’t read too much into it but it does bring the question if she’s supposed to be the same character, will the astronauts arrive back on earth in 15 years’ time instead of thousands of years’ time?

Looks amazing. Can't wait

I'm probably going to count down the days until it comes out, on the week it is set to come out

I hope they do better with it than conquest. Taking one city and organising a revolt was terrible. I hope they right that wrong
