This movie is a spoof of "Planet of the Apes" (1968) and follows the storyline of the original step by step - in spite of being a crazy parody of the original film. A group of men lands in a balloon on an area (it's not a planet, it's more like a hill) where talking apes rule and humans are slaves. The apes try to transform the guys in monkeys; a simian princess falls in love with one of them; and so on. This film is one of the several movies made for the popular Brazilian group "Os Trapalhões" - Didi (Renato Aragão), Dedé, Mussum and Zacarias (who at this point hadn't joined the troupe yet) -, many of them inspired by American blockbusters. It's a very fun entertainment, but the humor is very "local" to be understood in other countries. Oh, yeah, the ape "makeup" is terrible, but that's part of the fun. The movie doesn't take itself seriously.

Een groep mannen landt in een ballon op een gebied (het is geen planeet, het lijkt meer op een heuvel) waar pratende apen regeren en mensen slaven zijn. De apen proberen de jongens in apen te veranderen; een apenprinses wordt verliefd op een van hen; enzovoort. Deze film is een van de vele films gemaakt voor de populaire Braziliaanse groep 'Os Trapalhões' - Didi (Renato Aragão), Dedé, Mussum en Zacarias (die op dat moment nog niet bij de groep waren aangesloten) -, waarvan vele geïnspireerd zijn door Amerikaanse blockbusters. Het is erg leuk entertainment, maar de humor is erg 'lokaal' en kan in andere landen worden begrepen. Oh ja, de 'make-up' van de aap is verschrikkelijk, maar dat hoort bij het plezier. De film neemt zichzelf niet serieus.

Os amigos Conde e Alex são confundidos pelo Guarda Azevedo com assaltantes de uma joalheria. Na fuga, os três embarcam em um balão prestes a ser lançado, conduzido por Rodrigo, indo parar em um planeta habitado por homens-macacos, onde os humanos são considerados animais inferiores. Eles são aprisionados e depois de muita confusão, incluindo uma tentativa de serem transformados em macacos, os amigos surpreendem fazendo funcionar eletrodomésticos escondidos numa caverna.
