Hi, this did not get a theatrical release in multiple countries. What is mentioned as theatrical releases on IMDb are one-off screenings (for the most part). However, the key here is not whether it was theatrically released, but rather if it was released as any other movie. It was not. It was specifically released as a sexually explicit project (four hardcore scenes). For a full length movie be set to adult:true on TMDb, there must be at least two hardcore scenes.

Regarding Letterboxd, it's my understanding that it should be back as an adult selection eventually, but maybe not confirmed yet due to certain people being on vacation.

You're being hypocrite just because some critics decided to treat nymphomaniac as a movie doesn't mean it's not a porno. It has more hardcore explicit porn scene than this movie.

No, that's not correct. From our rules:

Notable exceptions: movies originally released as regular movies and reviewed as movies by critics: for example 9 Songs, Love, Q aka Desire, Baise-moi and Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn.

(My additional emphasis in bold to help you with this.)

This includes Nymphomaniac as well.
