Around this time, I like to watch Holiday Inn, While You Were Sleeping, and Groundhog Day. Also an obscure Aussie film called Miracle Down Under.
Never cared for White Christmas, which I feel is a poor film.

Another very good one, that I forgot all about till just now, is 2016's animated Stick Man. I thoroughly enjoy it.

My list is quite short, but usually dips into real life:
Polar Express - Became a quick favorite of mine. Just a dip into the magic of Christmas and the sadness of all of us growing up and forgetting that magic..but maybe not ALL of us. My favorite Holiday movie.
A Christmas Story - As a kid I know EVERYTHING about REALLY wanting that one gift, the special one...this definitely dips into that.
Christmas Vacation - Hilarious and how it is when family is visiting and how crazy things can get (although more exaggerrated..lol)
Scrooge - Albert Finney version...grew up watching this version EVERY year thanks to my mom. Love the songs and truly captured the eerie and darkness of the ghosts and happiness of Scrooge's redemption at the end! A True Happy end.
Krampus - plenty of great Christmas horror movies, but this one brought the Krampus legend to the masses without getting overly gory (film is PG-13) and still keeping the spirit of the holiday!

@wonder, I'm gonna have to as it's now the beginning of Dec. 29th and I still (during the last month) have watched only 1984's A Christmas Carol, of everything that's Christmas/holiday-relevant in my DVDs collection - yet I do remain determined that at least a couple more faves will get watched between now and the end of New Year's Day (or, in a stretch, by end of the weekend that follows it).

I've watched some "Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies". Next will be a favourite, the musical "Scrooge (1970)".

I just received (yesterday) the DVD of Home Alone 1 & 2. Today I binged Firefly (14 episodes including the 2-hour pilot), so I'll probably watch them tomorrow. It's also been really weird the last couple of days with NO Christmas movies at all, I think I'm going through a bit of withdrawal?

Every single day, for weeks, I've fully intended to watch a movie or two (or three), though each day either I wound up watching whatever programming of interest was scheduled on t.v. (which included various good holiday specials, Christmastime documentaries, travelogues, and baking shows that I watched), or I wound up too sidetracked by other things to ever get around to watching any t.v. at all.

It isn't included with the series on Hulu. Maybe it's in the movie section as a separate entry? I'll check tomorrow.
I checked & it's only available through the 'Starz' addon. I have seen it way back when (just like the series) & I could get it from the library.

@wonder, I was disappointed that PBS Kids (which is where I watched Stick Man a few times during the last 2 or 3 years) didn't air it this holiday season. I daily checked listings, though it never turned up on the schedule.

I'd like to thank all of you, ladies & gentlemen, for the recommendations and also mentioning of motion pictures I have not seen in many years. Whilst the Christmas mood fully eluded me this year I have watched "The Bishop's Wife" and was surprised how good it was. By recommendation of a friend I saw "It's a Wonderful Life" whilst it dragged on a bit too much for me, the ending was really, really good.
And yes, "Die Hard" is absolutely a Christmas movie! Merry Christmas to all of you, and a happy New Year. Take care! :)

Yes, The Bishop's Wife is so good, and I really need to give it a rewatch, as it's been a couple of years for me. It's a Wonderful Life will always reign supreme, at least in my opinion, as the pinnacle of classic Christmas movies.
Earlier this week I finally gave White Christmas a watch, but I have to be honest and say that it was a bit of a disappointment for me, as it felt rather tedious and the plot too thin. Also Danny Kaye is usually better. I just don't really get why it's held up all these years.
