"Can seeing become a site? Seeing as a space. Sight as touch. Sight as trace. Can we feel our sentient eyes long for what they cannot see, soothed by everyday delights, overfed and burnt by images, perhaps too hard to watch? a part of us exposed is an invitation to peer deep, to feel the materiality of our own eyes, their rawness and fragility. Drawing from Audre Lorde’s poem Contact Lenses, the film traces sight and retinal memory against technologies of intrusion and questions what it means to look."
