At the end of the 19th century, an English couple arrives in an uninhabited Spanish village with the intention of inhabiting a house they have inherited. There they will meet the castle ruled by the Countess of Baltán, her daughters and a couple of scientists who are trying to end their reign of terror.

Aan het einde van de 19e eeuw arriveert een Engels echtpaar in een onbewoond Spaans dorp met de bedoeling een huis te bewonen dat ze hebben geërfd. Daar staat het kasteel dat wordt geregeerd door de gravin van Baltán, haar dochters en een paar wetenschappers die proberen een einde te maken aan hun schrikbewind.
