Overview
Inhabitants of Famatina and Chilecito, in the province of La Rioja (Argentina), resist the installation of an open-pit gold mine in the Nevado del Famatina. Amidst political turmoil, they manage to fight off the company Barrick Gold and sanction a provincial law that bans this type of mining, but nothing is certain. Just a few days later, those who snactioned the law fail to recognise it.
