Piet Pirate sailed with his Leaning Barge to the island of Bananos to look for treasure in the washed-up shipwreck of Captain Dirt. On the island he meets the young, tough boy Bertus Bandiet. He warns Piet Pirate about the curse on the wreck because Captain Dirt Beard polluted the sea. Piet Pirate knows that this curse is not real at all, because he invented the curse himself to frighten and stop pirates who pollute the sea. Piet Pirate is a champion of the clean seas. He goes looking for the treasure fearlessly. But then there appears to be a ghost wandering on the island. Is the curse real after all?
