In Amalfi, a young man loves a girl who prefers the organizer of a beauty contest. The rejected lover finds an unexpected ally in the girl's aunt, an elderly dramatic actress who lives in the memory of a suitor who she believes committed suicide for her (instead, he survived and is present in the same tourist resort).

Ad Amalfi, un giovanotto ama una ragazza che però gli preferisce l'organizzatore di un concorso di bellezza. L'innamorato respinto troverà un'insperata alleata nella zia della ragazza, un'anziana attrice drammatica che vive nel ricordo di uno spasimante che crede essersi suicidato per lei (invece è sopravvissuto ed è presente nella stessa località turistica).
