classics dvds had to dump as no sdh, am addicted to subtitled, spent a fortune last yr buying bds with captions to replace them. a few i still can't find.

Jane Eyre
have this but once again need subtitles. the best version of jane eyre i've seen, though Elizabeth Taylor, Orson Welkes, Joan Fontaine, and Peggy Anne Garner & Margaret O'Brien in the 1947 movie had been a childhood favorite. This mini-series, 5+ hours, is almost word for word the novel. Cannot tell if the updated 2015 dvd release has sdh or not.

The Scapegoat
I have it on my dvr, the alec guiness version. i have the dvd. I have the script. i just do not trust my software and the subs floating out there to be perfectly timed. This is yet another film based on a Daphne du Maurier novel. It has to be perfect. The recent remake is pretty close. That I do have.
