Shougo Yahagi is a young motorcycle enthusiast living in a world of hot bikes, hard rock, and J-pop idols. The general populace go about their lives in peace, under the watchful eyes of a computer program in the guise of pop idol sensation Eve, unbeknownst to them. Shougo himself is mostly concerned with riding his motorcycle and picking up beautiful women like Yui Takanaka, who aspires to be a dancer. Shougo's life suddenly changes when his friend, Shinji Nakagawa, shows him a top-secret project: the "Garland," an advanced motorcycle that can transform into a robot. Ambushed by the military, Shougo hijacks the Garland and escapes into the city. Evading the military with the help of Yui and her friends, he gradually discovers that their idyllic society is only an illusion.

《无限地带23》（MEGAZONE 23、メガゾーンツースリー）是1980年代所推出的日本OVA系列作品，全3集。企划当初的原定片名为《OMEGAZONE 23》（オメガゾーン23），后来因为避免与著名手表厂牌“欧米茄”（OMEGA）产生雷同而改名。

PART I于1985年3月9日发售，同年3月23日于影院上映；PART Ⅱ《告诉我你的秘密》（秘密く·だ·さ·い， Project Card） 则先是于1986年4月26日在影院上映，而后于同年5月30日发售OVA；PART Ⅲ则被拆成上下两集《夏娃的觉醒》（イヴの目覚め，Awakening of EVE）和《解放之日》（解放の日，The Day of Liberation），并采取独特的发行模式：先是于1989年9月28日发售影片前半部分《夏娃的觉醒》，之后于同年11月25日在影院上映了完整影片，最后才在同年12月22日上市发售影片的后半部分《解放之日》。

時は現代、舞台はその象徴とも言うべく大都市TOKYO。昨日という過去がなく、明日という未来が見えないこの街に、若者達の鼓動だけが聞こえていた----。 主人公、矢作省吾(やはぎしょうご)はいつものように仲間と連れ立って真夜中のツーリングに出かけていた。 ある日の夜に、友人によって持ち込まれた一台のバイクにより、その日常は一変する----。 自治軍は、軍事使用を目的としたそのバイクを持ち出した省吾の友人を殺し、省吾とバイクをつけ狙う。 そして省吾はこのバイクを手に入れた事により、今まで誰も知らなかった恐ろしい真実を眼の当たりにすることになる。 この大東京が、実はコンピューターによって制御・支配されている虚構都市だったのだ! 巨大コンピューター“バハムート"の謎の意図により、五百年もの長い間にわたって、人々は平和な都市に住んでいる幻影を見せられていたのだった。 真実を知った省吾に、自治軍の魔の手が迫る---------。

Shougo Yahagi é um jovem entusiasta de motocicletas que vive em um mundo de motos quentes, hard rock e ídolos do J-pop. A população em geral vive suas vidas em paz, sob os olhos atentos de um programa de computador sob o disfarce da sensação de ídolo pop Eve, sem o conhecimento deles. O próprio Shougo está preocupado principalmente em andar de moto e buscar mulheres bonitas como Yui Takanaka, que aspira ser dançarina. A vida de Shougo muda de repente quando seu amigo, Shinji Nakagawa, mostra a ele um projeto secreto: a "Garland", uma motocicleta avançada que pode se transformar em um robô. Emboscado pelos militares, Shougo sequestra a Guirlanda e foge para a cidade. Evadindo os militares com a ajuda de Yui e seus amigos, ele gradualmente descobre que a sociedade idílica deles é apenas uma ilusão.
