As of writing this, there are 5 recuts of Godzilla films included in the Godzilla collections for their respective era on TMDB - Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, Gigantis the Fire Monster, King Kong vs. Godzilla, and Godzilla 1985. (On top of that there's also Cozzilla). This is decidedly enough to qualify as it's own collection, but instead they're clogging up the actual series collections. These aren't part of the Godzilla canon and two of them are dubs with a few things cut out. Furthermore, Godzilla 1985 is actually a sequel to Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, following the same protagonist with continuity to link the two together, and in this current system they aren't represented appropriately.

Collections are only for films sequels. So, yes, the American films should not be part of this collection. It also sounds like a collection for Godzilla, King of the Monsters! and Godzilla 1985 would be fine (but I'm not familiar with the films). I'm more concerned with this Godzilla (Showa) Collection, which doesn't appear to be a real collection.

This is a real collection. It falls under «Series of stand-alone films... marketed as proper sequels are also allowed as collections. These sequels are usually numbered and share... an universe.» The first three films directly follow each other, while next are standalone, while still technically sequels. There's one problem though but I decided not to create a new report. There are no guidelines as for what to do with films like Mothra vs. Godzilla. Mothra has a (slightly) bigger role in the movie, so should Mothra Collection be created for it and the original Mothra or no?

Are all of the Showa films in the same continuity? I was under the impression they were stand alone films.
