Extra Details: The movies for this collection are out of order, and I'm not sure how to fix it. The collection goes 1983 > 1980 > 1974, when it should be the reversed. I would've tried removing and re-adding the movies, but I can't figure out how to do that.

There are no way to force the order of these 3 movies in the collection as they were released the same day.
The order is based on the release dates.

If they all have the same release date, then shouldn't it fall back to sorting them alphanumerically ascending, which would be the correct order? Why is it reversed?

There are no mechanism to sort them.
Even an alphabetic sort will not be a good solution. It will solve the problem for this specific case, but perhaps not for others.
