Caserta, early 80s. In a province in Southern Italy far from the spotlights, a group of "scugnizzi" from the city play in the street and dream of making it in the only sport that reaches for the sky: basketball.

1982. The construction of the PalaMaggiò in just one hundred days gives the "scugnizzi" the ideal arena for their sporting battles. For Juvecaserta, going to challenge the great North of the basketball quadrilateral is no longer just a fantasy.

Seasons 84/85 and 85/86. The "scugnizzi" twice come within a few points of triumph, but crash against the wall of the giants of Olimpia Milano. In the locker room the shadow of a doubt begins to creep in: what if the Caserta team were only eternal seconds?

1990. At the end of another unsuccessful season, the "scugnizzi" decide to take on even more responsibility and definitively focus on themselves. How? By betraying the team's leader, the best scorer.

Season 90/91, championship final: Juvecaserta against Olimpia Milano again. The do-or-die match, the long-awaited victory or oblivion. A story that after 33 years does not cease to amaze and will bring the "scugnizzi" back to where it all began: in Caserta, at the PalaMaggiò.
