Together with husband Alex, Sarah begins an ambitious new project: building an off the grid house in the country. After deciding to be their own General Contractors, Sarah turns to fellow HGTV star Mike Holmes for some advice. While Mike gives their plan the thumbs up, he warns them that a project like this is full of potential Divorce Dust. Sarah and Alex work together to stay on time and on budget, and enjoy the satisfaction of completing their first space: a third floor hideaway called a Belvedere where they can take in the views.

Sarah and Alex make progress on their off the grid systems and Tommy has a great idea to transform the lower level, but Sarah’s design decisions are overruled by Alex and his team.

With the “principal suite” underway Sarah and Alex decide to take a trip together, leaving Ed and Tommy to manage the site. Trouble ensues creating a ripple effect that could put Sarah’s entire build behind schedule.

As the house approaches completion, Sarah wants every detail to be perfect. When it comes to big ticket items like hardwood flooring, “perfect” is a moving target. Sarah and Alex have to pull the team together to finish the Living Room.

Sarah’s dream house is in the home stretch. With Tommy’s help, the open concept main floor evolves into distinct kitchen and dining room layouts. When Sarah is pulled away from the site for a work commitment, disaster threatens, and the weather wreaks havoc as the team tries to finish the exterior. Can they make it right by the time Mike Holmes arrives for a final check?
